Used Graphics Card Verification & Authenticity Check

$50 CAD + tax

Bought a graphics card from an online marketplace, classifieds site, or private seller? Our used GPU test service compares the card's physical identifiers, reported model and memory, display output, temperatures, benchmark behaviour, and stability with the listing. This graphics card authenticity check can flag inconsistencies and common tampering indicators, but it cannot determine seller intent or make a legal finding of fraud.

What we check

  • Physical model identifiers, labels, and visible signs of tampering
  • Reported GPU model, firmware, and memory configuration
  • Display output, benchmark performance, temperatures, and stability
  • Visible signs of a swapped cooler, prior repair, or unusual wear

What you receive

  • A written summary of the card identity, condition, and test results
  • A clear result: consistent with the listing, concerns found, or inconclusive
  • Recommended next steps when repair or deeper diagnosis may be worthwhile

Scope: The $50 CAD fee covers one non-invasive testing attempt on a supported desktop graphics card. We confirm the manufacturer and model before intake. Tax, shipping, teardown, parts, repairs, and deeper board-level diagnosis are extra. We can identify inconsistencies and common counterfeit or tampering indicators, but we cannot determine seller intent, ownership, or make a legal finding of fraud. The inspection fee is non-refundable once testing begins.

GPU Repair for No Display, Artifacts, Crashing, and Overheating

We assess graphics cards with no display, visual artifacts, crashes under load, overheating, unstable VRAM, thermal shutdowns, or board-level power faults. Supported repairs depend on the exact card, failure, component availability, and whether the board can be tested safely.

NVIDIA RTX, GTX, and AMD Radeon Graphics Card Repair

We assess supported NVIDIA RTX and GTX graphics cards as well as AMD Radeon graphics cards. Send the exact manufacturer and model so we can confirm test access, parts availability, and whether the reported fault fits our board-level GPU repair scope.

GPU Repair Cost, Turnaround, and Parts Coverage

Graphics card diagnostic fees, repair cost, shipping, and turnaround depend on the card and accepted work. We review the manufacturer, exact model, symptoms, prior repairs, parts availability, and safe test access before quoting. Any applicable warranty is limited to supplied replacement parts and the supplier’s terms. The separate $50 used-GPU verification fee covers only the non-invasive check described above.

Canada-Wide Mail-In GPU Repair

Approved graphics card repair and used-GPU verification jobs can be mailed from across Canada, with scheduled local drop-off in Kitchener-Waterloo. Submit the exact manufacturer, model, symptoms, and any prior repair history first; wait for acceptance and packing instructions before shipping. See how mail-in repair works.

Testing the Accepted Repair

Accepted repairs are tested as the card and fault allow. We explain any limits when full stress testing or benchmarking is not practical.
