How It Works
Know what happens before you send a device or approve repair work
Assessment, Diagnosis, Approval, and Repair
Intake, acceptance, diagnosis, approval, and repair are separate stages. Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance, replace a diagnostic, or authorize repair work.
Submit an Intake Assessment
Send the exact device or model, symptoms, repair history, and the result you need. This free intake assessment only helps us decide whether to accept the job; it is not the repair diagnostic.
Receive an Acceptance Decision
If the request fits our scope, we send drop-off or shipping instructions. Do not send the device before acceptance. The instructions provided for the accepted job control what happens next.
Diagnostic and Quote
Once your device arrives, we explain any paid tests and their price. We wait for approval before those tests. We then send the repair scope and price.
Approve the Work
We wait for your approval before repairs start. If the scope or price changes, we ask again before doing the changed work.
Repair and Testing
After approval, we perform the agreed repair and test the device as its hardware, condition, and available test access allow. A repair attempt is not a guaranteed outcome.
Arrange the Return
We send the work and test results by SMS. We confirm who may collect your device or where to ship it. We send tracking details for mailed returns.
Our Commitment to Transparency
We explain known costs, risks, and testing limitations before proceeding. We cannot predict every outcome, but our technicians have encountered many recurring circuit-level failures. If a repair is uncertain or must be treated as a best-effort attempt, we will say so before asking for your approval.
Limitations We're Transparent About
One of the things we can't see is behind proprietary secrets in some chips that are kept secret, but if this becomes a problem during your repair, we will let you know before we proceed.
Expedited Services
Rush service
For jobs we accept for rush service, we charge an extra $130 CAD, plus tax.
We confirm rush service and the full price by SMS before work starts. A request in the form does not book a rush slot.
The rush fee buys priority in our work queue. It does not promise a repair result or a fixed finish date.
Time estimates
We aim to finish rush jobs in about 1–2 days.
We aim to finish standard jobs in about 14 days.
For retainer jobs, we aim for about 7 days.
We confirm a time estimate for your job after intake. We will tell you when that time starts. Parts, test access, holidays, or other delays can change it.
If we learn of a delay, we send an SMS with the reason and a new estimate.
Retainer plans
Retainer plans include preferred rates and priority in our work queue. We confirm the terms that apply to your plan.
Our retainer services include:
- B2B Repair Retainer - Priority electronics repair services for businesses
- Static Brochure Hosting - Professional website hosting and development
- On-Site Digital Signage - Digital signage hardware and design services
- LeadForm Hosting - Professional form hosting services
Files and repair
Repair work does not include a backup. If you need a copy of your files, we will review that as a separate job.
We will explain which files we can try to copy, where the copy will go, and the price.
We will wait for your approval before that work starts. We cannot promise that we can copy or recover every file.
Before we erase files
We will ask you before we do work that will erase files. We need your approval for that step.
A reset or a fresh system install may erase files.
Files may be lost during a repair even if we do not plan to erase them.
Mail-In Instructions
1. Request Job Assessment
Start with our contact form. Sending it creates a new device repair request. Use an SMS-capable number and add your country code if you are outside Canada. If you cannot use the form, leave a voicemail at 226-702-0555. We reply by SMS and provide shipping instructions only if we accept the job.
2. Package Your Device
Carefully package your device to prevent damage during shipping:
- Use a sturdy box with sufficient padding (bubble wrap, foam, etc.)
- Remove any accessories not required for repair
- Include a note with your name, contact information, and description of the issue
- If possible, back up your data before sending your device
3. Ship Your Device
Ship your device to our repair centre only after we provide instructions. Request the mailing address during the job assessment, and we will direct you to the appropriate facility.
Do not ship until you receive the shipping address and instructions from your support agent.
You are responsible for inbound shipping costs. We recommend using a shipping service that provides tracking and insurance.
4. Repair Process
Once we receive your device, we'll:
- Notify you that your device has arrived
- Confirm job scope and any paid diagnostic requirements
- Begin repairs after you approve the work
- Update you on the repair progress
5. Return Shipping
After repairs are complete, we'll:
- Send the amount due for the repair and return shipping
- Collect payment before releasing or shipping the device
- Carefully package your device
- Ship it back to you using secure shipping methods
- Provide tracking information if requested
